Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group Malaysia's Professional Division is recruiting on behalf of an established independent statutory body that upholds the stability of the financial system. Our esteemed client is seeking for a Crisis Management Specialist with a minimum of eight years' experience within the banking and financial industry. This job is based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Strengthen financial safety net collaboration and readiness, as well as crisis preparedness through the conduct of simulations and development of inter-agency crisis binders/documents;
  • Lead the design, planning, and implementation of a comprehensive simulation programme that test all aspects of the Corporation's crisis preparedness capabilities, including ability to respond to member institution's failures and other non-financial crisis events;
  • Participate in other national and international simulation exercises by leading the Corporation's Project Team and actively contributing to the overall tasks required for a successful simulation;
  • Secretariat to the internal and external Committees (including inter-agency);
  • Collaborate and build relationships with stakeholders such the employees, financial safety net agencies, foreign regulatory counterparts, and service providers/resource persons
  • Conduct research in relation to crisis management to inform various processes, frameworks and crisis binders. Coordinate with other stakeholders in the development and documentation of the documents.

Job Requirements:

  • Possess a degree in accounting, finance, crisis planning, business continuity management, or related discipline;
  • Experience of at least 8-10 years in any areas of enterprise risk management, financial crisis management or business continuity management, crisis planning, crisis simulations, restructuring or insolvency, internal/ external audit, bank regulation or supervision, risk assessment or resolution, financial stability policy or other related fields;
  • Understanding of the company's intervention and resolution process is an added advantage;
  • Ability to be creative and innovative with 'out of the box' thinking with strong collaboration, relationship management and project management skills.
