International award-winning executive search agency Monroe Consulting Group has announced its entry into China with IntelligenceHR Shanghai to re-launch under the respected Monroe brand.

Monroe Group Managing Director Andrew Hairs said the formation of Monroe Consulting Group China was a win-win solution for both Monroe and IntelligenceHR, which are both majority held by Empresaria Group, a diversified international specialist staffing Solutions Company that listed on the Alternative Investment Market (AiM) of the London Stock Exchange in 2004.

“Monroe will share its award-winning best practices, including our processes and training program, which will combine with IntelligenceHR’s local knowledge of the Shanghai market to solidify its position in crucial recruitment markets in expanding economies around the world,” Hairs said.

Monroe, which has successful operations in Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines, Chile, Mexico and now China, defended its title as ‘Best Small Recruitment Business’ at the prestigious international Global Recruiter Asia Pacific Awards 2014 and was runner-up in the Best Overseas Operation category. It was named Best Small Recruitment Business and Best Overseas Operation in 2013.

Hairs said Monroe’s highly trained and motivated recruitment consultants each operated in one of five key specialist areas in emerging markets, namely the Health, Professional, Consumer Goods, Industrial and Technology divisions. “Monroe recruitment consultants, who are recruited locally, are experts in understanding the constantly changing needs of not only the client companies that they represent, but also prospective job candidates,” he said.

Hairs said that it was for this reason that Monroe was looking forward to working with IntelligenceHR Managing Director Charles Gao, who will head the transition for Monroe Consulting Group China.

Gao, who has worked in the executive recruitment industry in Shanghai for more than 15 years, said Monroe Consulting Group standardised best practises would ensure client companies in China could expect to receive the same high levels or service and delivery that Monroe was best known for.

“Identifying and sourcing executives in China has never been an easy task; a situation that and has become increasingly challenging as the recruitment market becomes more competitive,” Gao said. “Monroe’s proven business models and award-winning internal processes deliver a great competitive edge desired by the leading companies operating in Shanghai today.”
