Aircraft Engineer

Executive search firm Monroe Consulting Group Philippines is recruiting on behalf of an international airline and the flag carrier of Hong Kong. Company is based in Manila.

Job purpose:

To lead and supervise a team of Aircraft Technicians / Aircraft Mechanics in performing operational functions ensuring delivery of a safe and exceptionally reliable travel experience that supports our brand and business.

To deliver the highest levels of safety, compliance and service delivery by stringent oversight and management of third party suppliers.

Key job responsibilities include:

Operational Accountabilities

  • Supervise and certify routine and non-routine maintenance for company's group aircraft on a shift basis, ensuring compliance with HKAR-145 and company standards.
  • Oversee and certify routine and non-routine maintenance for third-party customer aircraft (if applicable), adhering to the respective national authority and customer requirements.
  • Perform operational relief duties locally or overseas or carry out tasks as an Aircraft Technician/Mechanic as needed, per the relevant job description.
  • Monitor and manage third-party supplier performance in areas such as technical services, ramp services, de-icing, and refueling, addressing operational issues promptly.
  • Execute contingency plans and support ad hoc operational requirements, including diversions, charters, unexpected aircraft type changes, and major disruption recovery.
  • Ensure availability, functionality, and cleanliness of station ground equipment, vehicles, and
  • Coordinate and support Quality Assurance, Hong Kong Civil Aviation Department, and third-party audits; address findings and implement measures to prevent recurrence.

Job Requirement/s:

  • HKAR-66 B1 or B2 license, or an equivalent license acceptable under HKAR-
  • At least one current aircraft type authorization, preferably on company-operated types, with Level 3 training completed.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in an aircraft maintenance
  • Strong operational knowledge of aircraft maintenance and ground handling
  • Solid understanding of Hong Kong Civil Aviation Department airworthiness
