Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group Indonesia is recruiting on behalf of a leading direct-selling company in Indonesia. As expansion continues, our client is seeking a professional with at least 4 years' experience in finance for the job of Assistant Manager Finance. The job is based in Jakarta Indonesia.

Key job responsibilities:

  • Ensure the accuracy and reliability of financial records by preparing and reviewing journal entries and reconciling general ledger (GL) accounts monthly.
  • Compile and analyze monthly financial reports, including consolidation packages, to meet regional and corporate reporting needs.
  • Act as an inventory costing expert by collaborating with the COE Inventory team; analyze variances, monitor inventory transactions, reconcile inventory accounts with the GL, and recommend improvements for inventory management.
  • Oversee the accurate and timely preparation of quarterly and annual financial reporting packages.
  • Support and coordinate statutory, internal, and SOX audits to maintain compliance with corporate and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in handling tax and customs audits to ensure adherence to local laws and internal policies.
  • Help implement and strengthen internal controls, accounting policies, and operational procedures to drive efficiency and compliance.
  • Participate in system upgrades, process improvement projects, and standardization initiatives aligned with business expansion goals.
  • Lead and mentor team members by offering training, coaching, and conducting performance reviews to promote their career development.
  • Build and maintain strong cross-functional relationships, especially with the COE Inventory team and GBS KL Accounting team, to enhance collaboration and achieve organizational goals.

Job Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, with 3-5 years of experience in accounting or finance roles, ideally including some supervisory responsibilities.
  • Solid understanding of local accounting principles and tax laws, along with familiarity with US GAAP and SOX compliance requirements.
  • Skilled in using ERP systems (preferably Oracle) and highly proficient in Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting.
  • Effective communicator in both English and Indonesian, capable of delivering clear financial insights.
  • Experience with or exposure to Big 4 public accounting firms is a plus.
  • Proven ability to handle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, with a track record of working well in cross-functional teams.
