Our respected client is looking for a Business Development Manager who will play a crucial role in driving the growth and expansion of the business. Primary responsibility is to identify and pursue new business opportunities while maintaining and strengthening existing relationships with key stakeholders. He/She will play a critical role in driving revenue growth, expanding market presence, and maximizing business opportunities for the pharmaceutical manufacturing company. He/She needs to possess strong analytical skills, strategic thinking, excellent communication and negotiation abilities, and a deep understanding of the pharmaceutical industry and market dynamics.\
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Market Analysis: Conduct comprehensive market research and analysis to identify potential business opportunities, market trends, and competitive landscape. Stay updated with industry developments and regulatory changes.
2. Business Planning: Develop and implement business strategies, plans, and initiatives to drive growth, increase market share, and achieve sales targets. This includes identifying target markets, assessing product positioning, and setting sales objectives.
3. New Business Development: Identify, evaluate, and pursue new business opportunities such as partnerships, collaborations, licensing agreements, and acquisitions. Build and maintain a strong network of industry contacts to leverage potential opportunities.
4. Relationship Management: Foster and maintain relationships with existing clients, key accounts, and business partners. Understand their needs, anticipate future requirements, and provide solutions to enhance customer satisfaction and retention.
5. Sales and Marketing: Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to develop effective strategies and promotional activities. Provide support in product launches, pricing strategies, and marketing campaigns.
6. Contract Negotiation: Negotiate and finalize business agreements, contracts, and pricing terms with clients, vendors, and partners. Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
7. Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, such as research and development, manufacturing, quality assurance, and regulatory affairs, to align business objectives and facilitate seamless execution of projects.
8. Reporting and Analysis: Prepare regular reports and presentations on business performance, market trends, sales activities, and financial forecasts. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the success of business development initiatives.
9. Industry Engagement: Represent the company at conferences, trade shows, and industry events to promote the brand, establish thought leadership, and identify potential business opportunities.
10. Team Leadership: Provide guidance and leadership to a team of business development professionals, including setting goals, providing feedback, and facilitating professional development.
Job requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Development, Economics, Finance, Marketing, and other related fields.
- Minimum of 3 years strong planning and implementing new marketing initiatives preferably in Pharmaceutical, Food, and Cosmetics.
- Possess a strong understanding of organization, business, products, competition in the industry and positioning.
- High-level communication skills.
- Stakeholder Management skills.
- Proven ability to negotiate and resolve the conflict.
- Technical skills required to understand and propose products or solutions focused on customer needs.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Statistical Analysis Software.
