Executive search firm Monroe Consulting Group is recruiting on behalf of a business entity of a global leader in the construction industry. This entity is an agriculture company based in Negros Occidental, Philippines, specializing in Napier grass and oil palm. Our reputable client is currently seeking a Community Relations Manager who is willing to work a day shift in an onsite work arrangement.

About the role:

  • Responsible for building and maintaining positive relationships between the company and the community. Promotes the company projects, helps in building company reputation, fostering community engagement, and ensuring a positive impact on both the company and the local community.


Key responsibilities include:
Community Engagement

  • Develop and implement strategies to actively engage with the local community.
  • Measure and improve the overall perception of the organization within the local community.
  • Conduct regular surveys and feedback sessions to assess community sentiment.
  • Organize and participate in community events, workshops, and initiatives.

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)

  • Develop and manage CSR programs that align with the company's values and contribute to the community's well-being.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of CSR initiatives in meeting both organizational and community objectives.
  • Ensure transparent communication about CSR initiatives to both LGU's and management.
  • Monitor the impact of CSR programs on the community and report using the developed key performance indicators for the program/s.

Internal & External Stakeholder Relations

  • Build and maintain relationships with LGU, cooperative/community leaders, and other external stakeholders.
  • Act as a liaison between the company and the community to address concerns and promote understanding.
  • Measure stakeholder satisfaction through regular feedback by visiting and relationship assessments.
  • Implement strategies to address any identified concerns and for improvement.

Promote Positive Communication

  • Develop and execute communication plans for the community to convey the company activities and contributions.
  • Spearhead the advocacies of the company while considering community interests.


Key requirements include:

  • Agriculture graduate or with at least Bachelor's degree of any a related field.
  • At least 2-3 years of experience in public relations or related field.
  • Proven experience in community relations or a similar role.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Good communicator and strong attention to details.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and an ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
  • Ability to manage sensitive or controversial subjects with tact, kindness, and professionalism.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
