Monroe Consulting Group Philippines, a leading executive recruitment firm, is hiring on behalf of an engineering consultancy specializing in MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing), 3D modeling, architectural production, and infrastructure services. They are seeking an Electrical & ELV Section Manager with over 5 years of experience. The ideal candidate must be a licensed Professional Engineer and possess experience in designing with both international and local electrical and building codes. This role offers a hybrid work arrangement.

Job Summary:

The Electrical & ELV Section Manager will lead and manage the Electrical and ELV Design Section within the MEP Department. This role focuses on guiding the design team to ensure compliance with approved Conceptual Designs, ensuring projects are complete, constructible, and adhere to all applicable codes and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise the Electrical Design team to ensure timely project completion.
  • Collaborate with the MEP Manager and client representatives to meet design deadlines and project deliverables.
  • Work closely with other design Section Managers to ensure technical and spatial coordination across all designs.
  • Plan and organize daily electrical design tasks in accordance with the current timing plan.
  • Verify and validate designs before submission to the MEP Manager for final approval and client processing.
  • Support the MEP Manager in creating and administering design execution plans, revising them as needed to meet project requirements.
  • Plan and schedule all electrical design activities to ensure timely completion in alignment with the project schedule.
  • Prepare and issue management reports as required by the MEP Manager.
  • Attend design meetings with developers, engineers, and clients, and report outcomes to the MEP Manager.
  • Participate in cost estimation and take-off activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the MEP Manager.

Communication:

  • Maintain clear, concise, and professional communication with government agencies, service providers, colleagues, suppliers, contractors, and clients.
  • Ensure that all internal and external documentation is clear and easy to understand.
  • Review drawings with the Engineering Design team and ensure all reports are precise, detailed, and issued promptly.
  • Ensure all electrical designs comply with contract documents and the company's or client's standards as outlined in the contract.
  • Assist in the development of work standards, quality assurance programs, and standard operating procedures.

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Must be a licensed Professional Electrical Engineer.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive work experience, with at least 5 years in a Design/Consulting firm and 3-5 years as a lead engineer in MEP design or services coordination.
  • Strong knowledge of MEP Services and Systems design.
  • Experience with international and local Electrical and Building Codes and Standards.
  • Advantageous experience in industrial and infrastructure projects.
  • Proficient in English (Filipino proficiency is an advantage).
  • Computer literate with working knowledge of various design software packages, especially those focused on environmental and sustainable design methods.
