Job Summary
The ideal candidate will oversee the company's finance and accounting operations, provide strategic financial insights to drive operational improvements, and ensure compliance with accounting procedures. As a key member of the management team, this individual will act as a business partner for all business units, supporting financial-related requirements and activities. The role is based in Seremban.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead budgeting and forecasting processes, including developing financial targets.
- Manage planning and forecasting processes, defining deliverables, timing, and procedures.
- Develop and implement financial forecasting models to predict operating results.
- Implement financial forecasting and planning tools to improve planning outcomes.
- Coordinate internal reporting and develop management reports analyzing the company's financial and operational performance.
- Oversee the accounting operations of the company.
- Supervise accounts payable and accounts receivable staff and functions.
- Collaborate with project management staff to ensure compliance with accounting procedures, including reviewing and analyzing job cost estimates and monthly reports.
- Develop written accounting procedures for operational staff, ensuring proper implementation and compliance.
- Manage local taxation matters.
- Conduct benchmarking studies to identify areas for operational improvement.
- Analyze the company's financial results, provide insights to management, and recommend improvement actions.
- Compile key business metrics and report them to management.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
- More than 5 years of relevant working experience.
- Proven ability to integrate corporate finance, treasury, and cash management objectives, policies, and procedures.
- Demonstrated capacity to collaborate across an organization and engage others for efficient finance function implementation.
- Strong integrity and ethical standards.
- Superior analytical and technical skills with a data-driven problem-solving approach.
- High energy, enthusiasm, and excellent judgment, with a strong sense of urgency and bias for action.
