Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group Malaysia's Finance & Accounting Division is recruiting on behalf of a leading infrastructure construction company that is rapidly growing. Our respected client is seeking a qualified professional to join their team as Finance Manager.

Job Summary
The ideal candidate will oversee the company's finance and accounting operations, provide strategic financial insights to drive operational improvements, and ensure compliance with accounting procedures. As a key member of the management team, this individual will act as a business partner for all business units, supporting financial-related requirements and activities. The role is based in Seremban.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead budgeting and forecasting processes, including developing financial targets.
  • Manage planning and forecasting processes, defining deliverables, timing, and procedures.
  • Develop and implement financial forecasting models to predict operating results.
  • Implement financial forecasting and planning tools to improve planning outcomes.
  • Coordinate internal reporting and develop management reports analyzing the company's financial and operational performance.
  • Oversee the accounting operations of the company.
  • Supervise accounts payable and accounts receivable staff and functions.
  • Collaborate with project management staff to ensure compliance with accounting procedures, including reviewing and analyzing job cost estimates and monthly reports.
  • Develop written accounting procedures for operational staff, ensuring proper implementation and compliance.
  • Manage local taxation matters.
  • Conduct benchmarking studies to identify areas for operational improvement.
  • Analyze the company's financial results, provide insights to management, and recommend improvement actions.
  • Compile key business metrics and report them to management.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
  • More than 5 years of relevant working experience.
  • Proven ability to integrate corporate finance, treasury, and cash management objectives, policies, and procedures.
  • Demonstrated capacity to collaborate across an organization and engage others for efficient finance function implementation.
  • Strong integrity and ethical standards.
  • Superior analytical and technical skills with a data-driven problem-solving approach.
  • High energy, enthusiasm, and excellent judgment, with a strong sense of urgency and bias for action.
