Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group Malaysia's Finance & Accounting Division is recruiting on behalf of a global leader within the oil and gas industry. Our highly respected client is seeking a Finance Manager, with at least 7 years' of relevant experience. The job is based in Kuala Lumpur.

Job summary
The ideal candidate will play a vital role in overseeing the finance for one of the business divisions by preparing and coordinating financial reporting, closing, budgeting and forecasting so that division remains profitable. You are responsible for the business division's annual audit, income, expenses, collections, payables and cash flow. This role is reporting to Head of Finance.

Key job responsibilities include:

  • Manage the financial task and financial performance to management and HOD for Business Division (West Malaysia, East Malaysia Sabah and Sarawak Operations).
  • Coordinate and prepare Monthly Financial report for Cased Hole Logging division to HOD for consolidation.
  • Monitor and update invoices and collections promptly via AR tracker on daily basis.
  • To monitor division's Purchase Order budget form for receipt of supplier invoices and related payments to be issued for the division.
  • Monitor expenses and all transactions for the division to ensure all within budget.
  • To verify Purchase Order to ensure all documentation complete and within budget.
  • Monitor and track inventory, ensuring all incoming and outgoing inventory is properly recorded.
  • Coordinate and prepare Yearly budget and budget revisions
  • Manage preparation for annual audit
  • Coordinate annual Financial report and audit schedules for Auditors
  • Review draft audited financial report from auditors
  • Ensure all data are captured correctly in the accounting system
  • Review of data captured in the accounting system for the division
  • Manage Head Quarters tasks and assist Senior Manager on any adhoc task given.
  • Oversee Finance Executive for asset listing and Fixed deposit schedule.

Key Job requirements include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting or any relevant qualifications.
  • Professional accountancy qualification is preferred e.g, ACCA, CIMA, CPA, ICAEW, ICAA, MICPA.
  • At least 7 years of relevant working experience.
  • Experience in management reporting, costing, budgeting and forecasting.
  • Experience in consolidation, banking & financing will be an advantage.
  • Detail and result oriented.
  • Able to manage and guide junior team members in meeting their responsibilities.
  • Good understanding of financial, tax reporting, statutory requirements and applicable accounting standards.
  • Good in English communication and writing skills.
