Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group Indonesia is recruiting on behalf of a leading multinational company with core business in medical devices. As expansion continues, our client is seeking a professional with 15-20 years of Supply Chain Management experience who will be responsible for all supply chain and customer service operations in the country of Indonesia. The job is based in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and oversee the entire Quote to Cash and Procure to Pay processes for Indonesia, managing everything from customer inquiries and sales order processing to final shipment delivery, including all operational activities and communications with customers and internal teams to ensure a seamless customer experience.
  • Collaborate with local commercial, finance, legal, and regulatory teams, along with regional and global supply chain and customer service teams, to develop and enhance the supply chain and customer service infrastructure needed to execute the go-to-market strategy and achieve business objectives in Indonesia.
  • Create and implement a strategic logistics and warehousing plan for Indonesia, addressing both immediate and future needs. This involves selecting, onboarding, and managing local third-party logistics (3PL) providers and freight forwarders to handle product importation, local inventory management, and domestic distribution.
  • Work with legal, regulatory, commercial, trade compliance, freight forwarders, and local customs authorities in Indonesia to ensure all customs clearance procedures are compliant with regulations.
  • Determine the necessary workforce and skills required to support the go-to-market strategy and build a team encompassing roles such as Customer Service, Planning, Procurement, Logistics, Distribution, and Trade Compliance.
  • Lead the annual business and cost planning process, including managing operating expenses, freight and duties, and headcount costs, and ensure budget optimization.
  • Develop and manage a comprehensive customer order backlog process, ensuring timely feedback, efficient order processing, and prompt delivery from booking to completion, including handling complaints.
  • Work with the sales team to assess local inventory needs and implement local Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) and planning procedures to effectively balance demand, supply, inventory, and warehouse capacity to meet customer demands.
  • Oversee prudent inventory management practices, including managing Days of Supply (DOS), net dollars, excess and obsolete inventory, and handling scrapped and obsolete items.
  • Promote and lead initiatives to adopt Process Improvement (PPI) practices, focusing on streamlining and digitizing processes such as Quote to Cash, Procure to Pay, and logistics, ensuring consistency across different functions and divisions.
  • Ensure adherence to statutory, regulatory, and business-specific compliance requirements throughout the end-to-end supply chain operations.
  • Lead efforts to advance Quality, Safety, Environmental Health and Safety (EHS), and Cybersecurity initiatives across the organization.
  • Track, report, and improve key performance indicators, including Customer Allegiance Score, Customer Request Date Past Due, On-Time in Full, On-Time to Promise, Inventory Fill Rates, Working Capital, DOS, E&O, and logistics and warehousing cost and productivity.

Qualifications:

  • 15 years or more of experience in supply chain management across various functions.
  • At least 5 years of experience in leading cross-functional teams.
  • Fluency in both English and Bahasa Indonesia.
  • Strong knowledge of Indonesian import and customs regulations, as well as specific product regulations.
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or a related field; relevant degrees may be considered based on experience.
  • Certifications such as APICS, CFPIM, CSCP, or PMP are advantageous.
  • Experience in life sciences, biotechnology, or pharmaceuticals, especially with medical devices, cold chain management, and handling dangerous goods.
  • Proven experience in deploying and optimizing Quote to Cash and Procure to Pay processes.
  • Demonstrated success in managing demand and supply planning processes within an S&OP framework.
  • Effective in sourcing and managing 3PL providers while staying within budget constraints.
  • Technologically adept, with required experience working with SAP systems, preferably S4/HANA.
  • Highly preferred: Experience in ERP deployment.
  • Energetic with a strong ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Skilled at analysing complex situations and developing strategies for both short-term and long-term goals.
