Job Summary
The Associate III, Import/Export (Hazmat Classification) is responsible for ensuring hazardous materials are accurately classified according to regulatory requirements. This role involves analyzing products, maintaining records, and ensuring compliance with local, national, and international hazardous materials regulations, including IATA and PHMSA standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Product Classification
- Classify hazardous materials for technology products, collaborating with Sr. associates.
- Evaluate and request manufacturer classification data.
- Work with vendor management and procurement teams for hazmat classification requests.
- Export Order Management:
- Prepare reports and SKU lists for compliance teams.
- Review and upload approved classification data.
- Manage vendor classification information and troubleshoot any processing issues.
- Reporting and Admin:
- Generate and maintain reports on compliance metrics and KPIs.
- Support regulatory and internal reporting requirements.
- Provide administrative support for classification metrics and process improvement analysis.
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum 1 year of experience in Trade Compliance, hazardous materials classification, or related field.
- Strong knowledge of hazardous materials regulations and classification criteria.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
- Willing to work on night shift and hybrid setup (10 days RTO/month).
