They provide financial services through their e-wallet and develop payment solutions for businesses nationwide.

Job Summary

Our client is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Merchant Acquisition and Onboarding Officer to join their fintech team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end onboarding process of new merchants, ensuring a seamless and efficient experience. You will collaborate with internal teams and merchants to facilitate document verification, compliance checks, and account setup. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring merchants are successfully integrated into our platform while maintaining high service standards and regulatory compliance.

The position is based in Ortigas Center, Pasig City, Philippines, with an On-site arrangement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the entire merchant onboarding process, from application review to activation.
  • Verify and process merchant applications, ensuring all required documentation is complete and accurate.
  • Conduct compliance checks in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Work closely with other business units to resolve any issues during the onboarding process.
  • Provide guidance and support to merchants, addressing their inquiries and ensuring they understand the onboarding requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of merchant information and onboarding activities in internal systems.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency of the onboarding process.
  • Ensure a positive onboarding experience by proactively communicating with merchants throughout the process.
  • Lead kick-off calls, training sessions, and troubleshoot issues to provide end-to-end onboarding support.
  • Conduct sales pitches to potential merchants, effectively communicating the benefits of our platform and onboarding process.
  • Foster strong, long-term business relationships with merchants by ensuring prompt support and a smooth experience both pre- and post-onboarding.
  • Project manage and demonstrate a deep understanding of the onboarding process, consistently providing updates and feedback to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Deliver proactive communication and a consultative onboarding experience by understanding current merchant priorities.
  • Collaborate with sales and merchant success teams on day-to-day operational processes.
  • Participate in product enhancements and development to optimize the merchant onboarding experience.
  • Perform other related tasks as assigned that align with the responsibilities of the role.

Key Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Finance, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in merchant onboarding, account management, or a related role in fintech, banking, or e-commerce.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with merchants.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software.
  • Prior experience in payment processing, fintech, or e-commerce platforms is a plus.
