Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group is partnering with a distinguished client in the telecommunications sector to find a Network Operations Engineer for their expanding team.
Job Responsibilities:
- Design and deploy scalable network architectures and wireless networks.
- Install and configure network equipment, including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
- Monitor network performance and promptly troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with vendors, clients, and internal teams to resolve complex network challenges.
- Implement robust network security protocols to protect data, systems, and networks.
- Document network configurations, procedures, and operational processes. Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and stakeholders.
- Maintain strong customer relationships and ensure customer satisfaction post-sale.
- Stay current with advancements in networking technologies and recommend upgrades and enhancements as necessary.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Proven experience as a Network Engineer in satellite telecommunications or a similar role.
- Practical experience with networking hardware and software.
- Proficient in network security principles with hands-on experience in firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
- Ability to analyze and resolve complex network issues.
- Industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or similar qualifications are advantageous.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create and deliver presentations and reports.
- Proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
- Willingness to travel for work as needed.
