Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group Philippines is recruiting on behalf of a global leader in the construction industry. Our respected client is seeking an executive with at least 10 years' experience in Geotechnical Works, Piling, Soil Improvement, Civil Engineering and Construction in the same industry or equivalent for the job of Project Manager. The job is based in Quezon City, Philippines.

Job Summary:

  • The Project Manager is responsible for the planning and timely execution and the successful completion in terms of technical qualitative and financial aspects of any project given to him/her.

Key job responsibilities include:

  • Promotes and live a culture that reflects the organization's values, encourages good performance, rewards and productivity
  • Overall, on site management of all commercial, contractual, technical, safety and quality related matters for the scope of works
  • Creates and executes project work plans and identifies resources needed, ensures project documents are complete, current and stored appropriately and assures project legal documents are completed and signed
  • Manages day-to-day operational aspects of a project by ensuring that all the project requirements as per contract and as per BFPI's Management directive are taken care of, at the same time ensures that the three constraints (quality, cost, time) that face every project are properly managed
  • Manage Project Site within the contract requirements/company policies and company budgets.
  • Effectively applies methodology, enforces and lives project safety and quality standards
  • Prepares engagement reviews, quality assurance procedures and review deliverables prepared by its team before submitting such to respective clients
  • Maintain harmony and fairness on site and between related departments. 9. Represent the company's image and reputation
  • Manages project budgets and determines appropriate revenue recognition, ensures timely and accurate invoicing, monitors receivables for project and follow up with clients, when necessary, regarding unpaid invoices
  • Manages day-to-day client interaction, sets and manages client expectations
  • Continually seeks opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and develops lasting relationship with client's personnel that foster client ties
  • Facilitates team and client meetings effectively
  • Effectively and timely communicates relevant project information to superiors
  • Resolve and/or escalates issues in a timely fashion and understands how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully
  • Identifies opportunities for improvement and makes constructive suggestions for change
  • Challenges others to develop as leaders to develop as leaders while serving as a role model, mentor and inspires coworkers to attain goals and pursue excellence
  • Consistently acknowledges and appreciates each team member's contribution, effectively utilizes team member's potential, motivates in the most efficient manner and mitigates team conflict and communication problems
  • Delegation of duties and responsibilities to site management team
  • In-charge and responsible for the over-all safety of the jobsite and all of its workers
  • Other duties as directed by the Managing Director


Job Requirements:

  • College / Engineering Degree in Civil Construction
  • With 11 to 13 years of experience in related field, including at least 5 years in piling & foundations; be able to handle 2-3 projects at time
  • Professional license in Civil Engineering (strongly preferred)
  • Understands the entire technical nature of the company's business, methods and equipment.
  • Advanced understanding of risk management policies and procedures
  • Extensive experiencing managing budgets for small to large construction projects
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills in the English language and is able to communicate ideas and thought to all levels within the organization
  • With good interpersonal skills, ability to develop effective working relationships with clients, subcontractors, team members and other operation counterparts with sensitivity and respect
