Executive search firm Monroe Consulting Group is recruiting on behalf of a business entity of a global leader in the construction industry. This entity is an agriculture company based in Negros Occidental, Philippines, specializing in Napier grass and oil palm. Our reputable client is currently seeking a Resident Manager who is willing to work a day shift in an onsite work arrangement.

About the role:

  • Responsible for overseeing maintenance of office facilities and housing, budgeting, training of administration employees, road works, administrative compliances such as DENR / IFMA documentations, management of assets assigned to administration such as equipment, service vehicles, travel orders and travel pass of employees, guests, and guidance /use of access roads by the public.


Key responsibilities include:
General Management and Operations

  • Oversees the delivery of the requirements needed by operation (farm operation) as projected / budgeted by the Farm Operations Manager, as approved by the top management.
  • Management of activities and expenses as per discussed projection and budget.
  • Controls day to day transaction in relation to requests made by different departments.
  • Overall management of the site operation, ensuring efficiency of the support services and efficiency of operation.
  • Oversee the compliances to all legal and regulatory requirements by concerned employees, including compliances to EHS, PCO, DENR, etc.

General Administration

  • Oversees the maintenance of safety, cleanliness, and integrity of all areas occupied by the company (not limited to the office building, staff and guests houses)
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of appropriate level of involvement in community affairs and activities where the company participates.
  • Oversee construction projects related to capital improvements.
  • Ensures that rotation of duties are observed and that there are warm bodies in the area, to manage the day to day activities as necessary.
  • Controls the overall administration of the food and accommodation as planned and implemented by the Administration Coordinator.
  • Ensures that facilities like power and water are efficient.

Financial Reporting and Cash Management

  • Develop, implement, and administer annual budget including quarterly re-forecasting and monthly variance reporting, and recommends capital expenditures.
  • Ensures that all financial reports are submitted by assigned personnel to the HO.
  • Direct the preparation and submission to Accounting on asset inventory/ asset assignment.
  • Approves work orders, purchases, and invoices
  • Ensures that cash funds are efficiently managed

Fleet Management

  • Oversee maintenance of fleet records (both service vehicles and equipment)
  • Ensures efficiency of service vehicles and equipment

People Management

  • Supervises and checks on staff personnel in all their daily assigned jobs by coaching them on the performance of their jobs and monitoring their job accomplishments.
  • Participates in the hiring process and ensure that candidates can perform assigned tasks.
  • Evaluates the performance of personnel under his supervision.
  • Implements needed disciplinary action on erring staff
  • Compliance to HR processes by all personnel at site.


Key requirements include:

  • Bachelor's degree in business or engineering
  • At least ten (10) years of relevant experience; one (3) years of which in a managerial capacity
