They provide financial services through their e-wallet and develop payment solutions for businesses nationwide.
Job Summary
Our client is seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Java Developer. The role involves developing and maintaining backend microservices and APIs, ensuring security and compliance with financial standards. It requires expertise in AWS, Spring Boot, MySQL, CI/CD, and third-party financial API integrations, along with strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Collaboration with various business units is essential to align system development with business needs and optimize financial processes.
The position is based in Ortigas Center, Pasig City, Philippines, with a hybrid work arrangement.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain backend microservices that are logically secured and adhere to current financial organization standards, following the latest secure coding techniques.
- Design, develop, and maintain REST or SOAP APIs, schedulers, and other functions such as SQS and Lambda.
- Build and manage microservices, ensuring seamless integration with container applications and full-cycle development from requirements gathering to deployment using automation tools.
- Compile and analyze data flow, system architecture, processes, and code to troubleshoot issues and identify areas for improvement.
- Develop integrations with third-party financial APIs and services to enhance system functionality.
- Implement and maintain connections with payment gateways, financial institutions, and other relevant partners.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and optimize transaction processes.
- Work closely with Finance, Business Development, Customer Care, and other stakeholders to understand business requirements and align technical solutions accordingly.
Key Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Over 5 years of experience in backend development, with a focus on fintech or related domains.
- Proficient in Java, Spring Framework, and related technologies.
- Experienced in using Gradle, AWS Lambda, Amazon EC2, Amazon S3, Spring Boot, Git, MySQL, Maven, and Hibernate.
- Skilled in deployment procedures using Git, CodePipeline, and CI/CD.
- Familiar with financial APIs, payment gateways, and third-party integrations.
- Strong understanding of financial systems, including payments, transactions, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess business needs and provide optimal solutions.
- Innovative thinker with a creative approach to system implementation and alternative development methods.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experienced in defect resolution and understanding backend engineering responsibilities.
