Our distinguished client is seeking a Technical Sales Representative to expand their presence within the Malaysian market. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise with exceptional sales skills to promote and sell products to a diverse client base, including architects, engineers, contractors, and distributors.

Key Responsibilities

Sales and Client Management

  • Identify, develop, and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients in the timber construction industry.
  • Achieve sales targets by promoting company products and services through presentations, demonstrations, and negotiations.
  • Provide tailored solutions to meet client needs, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Technical Expertise and Support

  • Offer technical advice and training on the application and benefits of company products.
  • Conduct product demonstrations and technical presentations to clients, including architects, engineers, and contractors.
  • Collaborate with the technical team to address client inquiries and troubleshoot challenges.

Market Development

  • Research and analyze market trends, competitor activities, and client feedback to identify new business opportunities.
  • Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and professional associations.
  • Prepare sales reports and forecasts for management.

Team Collaboration

  • Work closely with the regional sales team, technical support, and logistics teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Provide feedback to product development teams to support continuous innovation.

Key Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in technical sales, preferably in the construction or building materials industry.
  • Strong understanding of timber construction and associated products.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to travel extensively within the assigned region.
