Our respected client is seeking 5 years of working experience in accounting specializing in accounts payables and account receivables for the Accounting Supervisor position. The job is based in Cebu City, Philippines.
Job Summary:
- The Accounting Supervisor will liaise with government agencies such as; BIR for monthly, quarterly and annual filings, and annual ITR, Assist with BIR on tax audits, Liaise with Bureau of Customs on import issues and SEC on annual filings and other documents Secure Business & Import permit with local government.
Key job responsibilities include:
FINANCIAL REPORTING:
- Assist line management with Audit queries
- Provide closing status updates to CFO and financial controllers
CLOSING / BOOKKEEPING:
- Monitor bookkeeping of supplier invoices, client invoices, petty cash, payroll and bank transactions
- Monitor matching of payments and receipts to invoices
- Monitor bank reconciliation
- Monitor updating of voucher status in AEP
- Monitor forex rates entered in Accounting system (Sage)
- Register new suppliers and clients in Accounting system (Sage)
- In charge of Sales reconciliation
OTHER MATTERS:
- Assist with other accounting tasks as necessary to ensure the smooth running of the department
- Research, implement and/or improve existing Accounting processes while ensuring internal procedures are followed
- This list is not exhaustive and some new tasks may be requested for the needs of the Finance
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Bachelor's/College Degree in any field
- Minimum of 2-3 years of working experience in related field
- Has knowledge and experience with accounting statement- general ledgers, account reconciliations, AR reports, and post receipts.
- Has exposure of customs, costing, goods receipts & invoicing (additional advantage)
- Good in excel & other MS office applications
