Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group Malaysia's Industrial Division is recruiting on behalf of an MNC leader in the precision instruments industry. Our client is seeking a technical professional with at least 2 years of experience in a similar field to be responsible for providing application services and technical support to customers both locally and internationally.
Job Summary
As an Application Engineer, you will be responsible for developing solution proposals, handling project orders, collaborating with sales teams, and providing technical support. This role involves working closely with regional and global customers to ensure optimal solutions, customer satisfaction, and cost control.
Job Responsibilities
Development of Solutions Proposals and Project Requests
- Develop regional customer/partner solutions (BOM) considering the cost/benefit ratio, competitive situation, and margin requirements.
- Collaborate with the Global Head of Sales, MO sales representatives, and other SBU Application Engineers to coordinate proposals.
- Understand cost structures and support bid sheets for Market Organizations and SBU Business Development teams.
Processing and Coordination of Project Orders
- Handle and coordinate regional/global projects in cooperation with the customer, MO sales, and service teams.
- Ensure optimal customer satisfaction and cost control during project execution.
- Monitor revenue recognition in cooperation with MO and customers.
Cross Collaboration with Sales, Customer, and Service Organizations
- Consult with customers and sales representatives to find optimal solutions through online meetings or in-person interactions.
- Create functional specifications and customer specifications where needed.
- Support KAMs during project clarification and communicate final solution details to MO service organizations.
Provision of Technical Sales Support
- Review and support MO solution requests for special customer solutions (PRS).
- Assist in review processes with stakeholders, such as MO and SBU management.
Project Development
- Coordinate and create project-related documentation according to customer requirements.
Training & Education
- Provide application and solution training for MO sales representatives.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar role within the industry.
- Expertise in application, product technical details, and industry knowledge.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose complex customer issues and propose solutions.
- Ability to draft and design mechanical solutions.
- Experience in system design, project management, and sales is advantageous.
- Ability to work in a global, multicultural environment.
- Willingness to travel (less than 30% annually).
