Executive search firm Monroe Consulting PH is recruiting on behalf of a healthcare company that commenced its operations in the Philippines in 2020. They are seeking a Compliance Officer, who will be responsible for ensuring that our healthcare company operates in adherence to all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards. You will play a crucial role in maintaining an ethical and compliant environment within the organization.
Your duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Develop and implement compliance policies and procedures: Create and update company policies and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry guidelines. Regularly review and revise policies to align with changing legal and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor compliance activities: Conduct regular audits and assessments to monitor compliance with established policies and procedures. Identify and address potential compliance issues and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
- Ensure timely applications and renewals of required regulatory authorities.
- Conduct investigations: Lead or assist in investigations related to compliance issues, allegations of misconduct, or potential breaches. Collect and analyze evidence, interview relevant parties, and prepare investigation reports.
- Stay updated on regulatory changes: Monitor changes in laws, regulations, and industry best practices affecting the healthcare industry. Provide regular updates to management and relevant departments on new requirements and their implications.
- Liaise with regulatory authorities: Serve as the main point of contact for regulatory agencies, ensuring timely and accurate reporting and compliance with regulatory requests. Respond to inquiries, requests for information, and inspections from regulatory authorities.
- Promote a culture of compliance: Collaborate with key stakeholders, including senior management, to promote a strong culture of compliance throughout the organization. Advise and provide guidance on compliance matters to all levels of staff.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Law, Healthcare Management, Business Administration).
- At least 5 years of experience in a compliance role, preferably within the healthcare industry.
- In-depth knowledge of relevant laws and regulations governing the healthcare sector in the Philippines.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Experience conducting investigations and handling regulatory inspections is preferred
