Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group Indonesia is recruiting on behalf of a multinational company with a core focus on healthcare industry. As expansion continues, our client is seeking a Business Development Manager to join their team with core products in the In Vitro Diagnostic (IVD) product market. This key role will be responsible for managing the expansion and incubation of IVD product portfolios in the region. You will play a pivotal role in driving new business growth, strengthening distributor partnerships, and ensuring successful market entry and product adoption. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the business development strategy for IVD products, driving expansion into new markets, customer segments, and geographic areas within Indonesia.
  • Identify and pursue high-potential business opportunities, including new principal, sub-distributor partnerships, hospitals, clinics, and diagnostic laboratories.
  • Formulate and implement strategies to increase IVD product adoption, ensuring market growth and penetration.
  • Work closely with distributors to align on sales strategies, marketing campaigns, and product knowledge to ensure consistent growth and achievement of business objectives.
  • Oversee the incubation of new IVD products within the Indonesian market, ensuring successful product launches, awareness, and adoption.
  • Monitor product performance post-launch, gather market feedback, and recommend adjustments to product strategies and marketing efforts.
  • Conduct thorough market research to assess the competitive landscape, identify industry trends, customer needs, and unmet gaps in the Indonesian IVD market.
  • Provide strategic insights to leadership teams based on market trends, competitor activity, and sales performance.
  • Develop and execute sales action plans that drive revenue growth and optimize sales opportunities within both new and existing channels.
  • Ensure that all IVD products sold in Indonesia comply with local healthcare regulations, quality standards, and import/export requirements.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory changes affecting the IVD and medical device industry in Indonesia.
  • Develop and execute short- and long-term business development plans that align with the company's goals and objectives for the IVD product line.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (sales, marketing, production, etc.) to ensure smooth execution of business strategies and timely product delivery.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Medical Technology, Business, or a relevant field. A master's degree is an added advantage.
  • Minimum 5+ years of business development, sales, or marketing experience in the IVD, medical device, or healthcare industry (distributor-side experience is preferred).
  • Proven track record of growing principal or sub-distributor networks, launching new products, and driving sales in a competitive healthcare market.
  • Experience in managing product incubation and ensuring successful market entry for diagnostic products in Indonesia.
  • Strong understanding of the Indonesian IVD and healthcare market, including customer dynamics, regulatory environment, and industry trends.
  • Excellent relationship-building, negotiation, and communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally with various teams (e.g., marketing, product, regulatory).
  • Results-driven, with a strong ability to set, track, and achieve sales targets.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to understand market data, customer needs, and competitor strategies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken) is required.
