Job Summary
The Business Acquisitions Manager is responsible for driving business development, marketing efforts, proposal and tender management, and strategic partnerships. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring a robust pipeline of contracts and projects, fostering client relationships, and executing bid strategies to secure business opportunities. The position requires strong analytical, negotiation, and leadership skills to support the company's growth and profitability in the oil & gas services sector.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Development & Marketing
- Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of contracts and projects.
- Conduct market surveys to identify new business opportunities and emerging trends.
- Oversee pre-qualification processes to ensure compliance with client requirements.
- Support client management efforts, ensuring strong relationships and continued engagement.
- Work closely with finance teams to secure timely payments from clients.
Proposal & Tender Management
- Develop and implement effective bid strategies aligned with company goals.
- Ensure the timely preparation and submission of proposals and tenders.
- Analyze bid margins and assess resource utilization rates.
- Provide accurate estimates of delivered material costs to enhance project profitability.
Strategy & Joint Ventures
Act as a pathfinder, identifying and developing new business opportunities.
Develop and execute business strategies in alignment with divisional and corporate objectives.
Manage relationships with strategic business partners and joint venture entities to enhance market positioning.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in business development, preferably within the oil & gas services sector.
- Strong understanding of contract negotiation, bid management, and market analysis.
- Excellent financial acumen with the ability to assess bid margins and project feasibility.
- Experience in managing client relationships and securing long-term partnerships.
- Proven track record in securing high-value contracts and business acquisitions.
- Strong leadership, communication, and strategic planning skills.
- Willingness to travel as needed to support business development activities.
