Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and versatile IT Network Operations Specialist who will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless functionality of our IT systems. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional problem-solving abilities, be adept in resolving network-related issues, and display outstanding interpersonal and communication skills required to thrive in a high-energy, fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Implementations & Network Maintenance:- Demonstrated expertise in LAN, WAN, WLAN, and SDWAN implementations.
- Proficiently support and maintain MPLS and SDWAN networks.
- Extensive experience in the administration and configuration of layer 2 and layer 3 Cisco networks.
Advanced Network Configuration and Troubleshooting:- Proven operational knowledge in VLANs, spanning tree, BGP, and EIGRP.
- Resolving network-related incidents as per predefined Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Diagnosis and resolution of complex 2nd line support network issues.
Infrastructure Management:- Proficiency in creating intricate network maps using industry-standard design tools (e.g., Visio/Ekahau).
- Implementation of new network solutions, ordering hardware, and setting up office/warehouse networks.
- Handling failed hardware replacements (RMAs) and fulfilling site-related operational requests.
Monitoring and Analysis:- Profound expertise in utilizing network monitoring tools for data analysis and delivery of crucial network-related metrics.
- Continuous monitoring of services using provided utilities.
Knowledge Base Development:- Actively contribute to the development of an internal Knowledge Base following an agreed methodology.
- Offer technical solutions to enrich the Knowledge Base (KCS).
Additional Responsibilities:- Ability to perform maintenance activities beyond regular business hours.
- Undertake any other duties as assigned.
Technical Proficiency:
- Network Protocols: BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, HSRP/VRRP, SNMP.
- Cisco Devices, Security (Cisco ASA, Firepower, S2S, ACL, ISE), Wireless Technologies (Cisco Prime, Ekahau, Design), Load Balancer (Citrix Netscaler), OpenGear, Other Tools (Logpoint, Infoblox, Solarwinds).
Qualifications and Skills:
- Education: Bachelor's or master's degree, preferably in IT or engineering.
- Proficiency in oral and written English.
- Understanding and application of ITIL methodologies.
- Work Experience: Minimum of 4-5 years in a similar role with practical hands-on experience.
- Vendor Certifications: CCNA/CCNP or equivalent level of knowledge.
- Flexibility in working hours, including 24/7 availability.
