Job Summary
The client is seeking a Solution Architect specializing in payment gateway systems. The successful candidate will design and implement scalable, secure architectures, translating business objectives into actionable technical solutions while providing leadership to development teams. This role is based in Malaysia.
Key Responsibilities
- Architecture Design: Develop end-to-end architectural blueprints for payment gateway systems, ensuring performance, security, and reliability while aligning with business goals and regulatory requirements.
- Technical Leadership: Lead and mentor development teams, ensuring adherence to architectural principles and coding standards while driving technology adoption and best practices.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with product managers, business stakeholders, and operations teams to define technical solutions and act as a technical liaison.
- System Integration: Oversee the integration of payment gateways with external systems, APIs, and cloud platforms while ensuring seamless fintech functionalities like transaction processing and fraud detection.
- Documentation and Standards: Maintain comprehensive architectural documentation and enforce alignment with industry best practices.
- Quality Assurance and Security: Conduct reviews and testing to ensure system performance and compliance with standards like PCI DSS and ISO 27001.
- Innovation and Technology Adoption: Research emerging technologies and implement innovative solutions to enhance platform capabilities.
Key Requirements
- Experience:
- 5-10 years in software architecture and design, with a focus on fintech or payment gateway systems.
- Proven experience in cloud-based, microservices-driven architectures.
- Technical Expertise:
- Proficiency in modern architecture patterns (e.g., microservices, serverless, event-driven).
- Knowledge of payment systems, API integration, cloud platforms (AWS, GCP), and database management.
- Hands-on experience with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Soft Skills:
- Exceptional problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, bridging technical and non-technical teams.
- Education and Certifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related fields (Master's preferred).
- Certifications in architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF) or cloud platforms (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect) are highly desirable.
