Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group's Industrial Division is recruiting on behalf of a well-established multinational company in the machinery and equipment manufacturing for processing wood, stone, and glass.

Job summary:
The winning candidate will be focused on accelerating sales growth and cultivating strategic partnerships within the stone and glass sector across Asian markets. The Sales Manager will play a pivotal role in achieving sales targets, enhancing customer relationships, and expanding our market presence in the stone industry.

Job Responsibilties:

  • Achieving the set sales targets in terms of turnover and profitability as defined in the budget related to the areas of responsibility.
  • Leading, motivating and coaching the sales network.
  • Defining the annual work plan, which includes visits to existing and potential customers and distributors, and introductory visits to the company's headquarters.
  • Identifying business opportunities and development within the assigned region.
  • Promote the sale of the Corporation's machinery and manage and advise for the achievement of the goals of the Corporation.
  • Ascertain the solvency of customers with the conscientiousness of a good businessperson, it is understood that the corporation will make the final determination to accept or deny any order.
  • Analyse the strengths and weaknesses of the Corporation to reinforce the strengths and reduce the weaknesses by also providing the Malaysia sales team with stronger and wider knowledge of the company in Malaysia lines of machinery and competitive lines.
  • Work with Malaysia Sales Team and distributor network as needed, to develop a sales strategy exploring the possible tools and systems to achieve maximum benefit from the dealer network.
  • Work with the Malaysia Sales Team to ensure that regular sales seminars are conducted for the dealer network with an emphasis on technical and commercial topics and specific products with hands-on experience, to maximize benefits from presentation in a sales environment that is constantly improving the dealer networks technical and product knowledge.
  • Develop, expand and improve the actual distribution network to increase market share.
  • Create activity reports geared toward a better understanding of the needs of the end-user and constantly analyse how the Corporation is perceived by the end user.
  • Responsible for identifying the "real" market potential and developing sales and marketing strategy.
  • Responsible to assist in resolving outstanding issues, like credit and technical problems.


Job Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of working experience years in sales and marketing.
  • Required language(s): Fluent in written and spoken English.
  • Have machinery and industrial sector experience.
  • Experience in the glass/stone market is a significant advantage.
  • Capable of establishing and maintaining a strong distribution network of dealers and final customers at a professional level in the assigned areas.
  • Have the capability to work remotely and independently, within the larger reporting lines.
  • Have a good attitude and is willing to acquire new knowledge and skills.
