Logistic Procurement Manager (Logistics)

Monroe Consulting Group Philippines, a leading executive recruitment firm, offers global logistics outsourcing services across approximately 100 sites worldwide. They provide comprehensive ICT and logistics services to the company's affiliates within the country. Currently, they are seeking a Logistic Procurement Manager. The ideal candidate should have 3-5 years of experience in Supply Chain (preferably in Procurement) and experience with a Freight Forwarding Company and a strong history in Import/Export promotion with renowned global companies. The position is based in BGC, Taguig City, with an on-site working arrangement from Monday to Friday.

Job Summary:

As a Logistic Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for evaluating cost proposals from prospective suppliers and subcontractors for all ongoing and proposed projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute procurement and process plans, implement policies and procedures, and set operational goals.
  • Acquire resources for projects and processes, provide technical management of suppliers, and lead process improvements.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, and direct reports.
  • Maintain expertise in all import and export operations, including applicable incentives.
  • Handle tariff classification and computation of duties and taxes.
  • Collaborate with Customs Brokers on the processing and documentation of incentives for the company's importations.
  • Provide import and export estimates.
  • Arrange payment of duties, taxes, and other charges.
  • Source the most advantageous customs clearing agents for the company.
  • Monitor and report progress to management periodically.
  • Support project bundling activities, including convening periodic meetings with stakeholders.
  • Establish procurement schedules.
  • Coordinate both offsite and onsite procurement activities for new projects or businesses.
  • Interface as needed to coordinate with project directors, commodity leaders, and supplier quality teams.
  • Assist with all other logistics requirements of the company.

Key job requirements:

  • BS/MA degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Analytics, or related fields.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in Supply Chain (preferably in Procurement).
  • Experience with a Freight Forwarding Company and Import/Export.
  • A history of promotions within renowned global companies (e.g., DHL, K+N, DVS Panalpina, CH Robinson, Kintetsu Express) is preferred.

Skills:

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • At least intermediate Excel skills for data analysis, including:
  • Charts, graphs, and bars
  • Pivot tables
  • VLOOKUP, COUNTIF, SUMIF
  • Filtering information to provide quality data
  • Macros
  • Managing raw data
