Mechanical Engineer II

Executive search firm Monroe Consulting Group Philippines is recruiting on behalf of a multinational motorcycle manufacturing company, produces high-performance electric motorcycles. The company is located in Sta. Rosa, Laguna, Philippines.

Responsibilities:

Competitive Advantage Development:

  • Identify and capitalize on unique opportunities to develop and maintain competitive advantages.
  • Implement appropriate mechanical design strategies for motorcycle components.

Project Management:

  • Create and manage timelines for components or systems, track progress, and ensure adherence to deadlines.
  • Understand interdependencies between engineering development timelines and downstream stakeholders.

Database and Documentation Management:

  • Maintain parts database with accurate part numbers and descriptions.
  • Own documentation and revision control for assigned parts, including engineering drawings and related documents.
  • Generate and manage Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
  • Schedule and lead design reviews at key points in product development.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
    • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 2 years of relevant engineering experience.
    • Advanced working knowledge of SolidWorks (advanced surfacing experience preferred).
    • Strong understanding of various manufacturing processes (forging, casting, machining, injection molding, weldments, sheet metal fabrication, painting, and surface treatments).
    • Proficiency in Mechanical Engineering analysis and simulation techniques.
    • Knowledge of GD&T and tolerance stack analysis.
    • Experience with BOMs, ECOs, and document support.

Preferred Experience:

  • Industry experience in automotive or motorcycle sectors.
  • Experience in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering
  • Proficiency in Finite Element Analysis and Computational Fluid Dynamics.
  • Expertise in injection molded plastics/plastic enclosure design.
  • Familiarity with automotive regulatory standards.
  • Experience in electrical component packaging.
  • Ability to develop and integrate innovative technical concepts, including patentable innovations.
