QC Assistant Manager | Batangas
Executive search firm Monroe Consulting Group Philippines is recruiting on behalf of a multinational chemicals company dealing mainly in decorative paints and performance coatings. This company sells and distributes interior and exterior paints to consumers and professionals worldwide, the world's leading provider of marine coatings to shipowners and management companies for newbuilding, drydock and seastock, and a leading supplier of powder coatings to companies active in industries related to appliances, furniture, building components, pipelines and general industries.
Responsibilities:
Quality Assurance:
- Assist in establishing and maintaining high-quality standards for raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products.
- Develop, implement, and monitor quality control procedures to ensure product quality and compliance with industry standards.
Testing and Inspection:
- Oversee the testing of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Develop new test methods and improve existing ones to enhance quality control processes.
Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct internal and external audits, and prepare necessary documentation.
Equipment Management:
- Ensure proper calibration and maintenance of quality control equipment.
- Develop and implement procedures for equipment calibration and tracking.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date quality control documentation and records.
- Prepare and present quality reports to management.
Continuous Improvement:
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and process efficiency.
- Participate in cross-functional teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
Team Leadership:
- Assist in managing the quality control team, providing training, guidance, and performance feedback.
- Foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement within the team.
Communication and Collaboration:
- Collaborate with production, procurement, R&D, and other departments to address quality issues and implement solutions.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers, customers, and regulatory bodies regarding quality matters.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry.
- At least 5 years experience process control, quality assurance and quality control. Color matching experience is an advantage
- Registered Chemist or Chem Tech. Knowledge in paint and ink industry is an advantage.
- Willing to be assigned in Santo Tomas Batangas
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Powerpoint
- Knowledgeable in data management and analysis
- ISO auditor certification is an added advantage
- Good communication skills.
