Executive search firm Monroe Consulting Group Philippines is recruiting on behalf of the world's largest supplier of semiconductor test equipment for logic, RF, analog, power, mixed-signal and memory technologies and deliver test solutions to developers and manufacturers of a broad range of integrated circuits, packaged separately or integrated as cells in system-on-a-chip (SOC) devices. The company is based in Lapu-lapu City, Cebu. Hybrid set-up.
Our client is looking for an experienced Software QA Automation Engineer. As a key contributor to QA team, experience and skill set will play a key role in their efforts to design, develop, and execute automated tests. Candidate should have a strong technical background and be able to streamline all testing activities. Should be detail-oriented and possess excellent automation skills and troubleshooting abilities.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute manual and automated tests using appropriate tools, implementation artifacts, and requirements
- Create and expand an automation framework
- Develop and support high-quality test automation code. Conduct automation code reviews. Perform troubleshooting of automation software issues
- Develop testing strategies for product releases and participate in internal and cross functional design reviews
- Identify areas where automation can improve quality; evaluate and select the relevant tools
- Work on optimizing code quality and improving reliability indicators in the development process
- Analyze, review, and summarize test results. Report anomalies into defect tracking system. Suggest solutions to identified product problems
- Manage multiple tasks and align those tasks with the company's business priorities
- Participate in process improvements; support other members of the QA team.
Requirements:
- Good understanding of automation systems and databases. Hands-on experience with various development tools
- Working knowledge of programming languages like JavaScript, Java, Python, and HTML
- Expertise in automation testing tools like Playwright, TestNJ, Selenium, etc.
- Experience with API testing using tools like Postman
- Practical knowledge related to Performance testing and tools like JMeter
- Familiarity with MS 365, Jira, Zephyr, and other test and bug management systems
- Understanding of and good experience with Jenkins or a similar automation server
- Experience with database testing; knowledge of SQL query language
Qualifications:
- Have 7+ years of experience in testing complex software systems and a bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or another related field
- Have 2+ years of experience in object-oriented programming
- Hands-on experience in front-end and back-end application testing
- A proven ability to design and implement a comprehensive testing strategy for complex software products
- The ability to think strategically and build a workflow in accordance with such a vision
- Possess impressive analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Strong technical aptitude and knowledge of quality assurance, testing process, methodologies, structure, and documentation
- Have excellent communication skills that enable effective interaction with other members of the team and cross-functional teams. Ability to work collaboratively
- Good time management and organizational skills. Clear understanding of the importance of deadlines .
