It’s a new year, a new beginning, and there is new hope for Monroe Consulting Group Vietnam as the group celebrates their 5th year of operations in Vietnam. To celebrate their successes and accomplishments since the group was established in 2017, Monroe Vietnam launched the “Always Give Back” Programme. The main purpose of the programme was to recognise the importance of giving back to the community. At Monroe Consulting Group, #doingsomethingthatmatters is an important part of the Group’s culture, ensuring we positively impact the communities we live in.
The recipient of this year’s “Always Give Back” Programme is Tam Duc Orphanage. The Monroe Vietnam team visited the orphanage on the 21st of January. From the Managing Director and individual support of the team, the programme managed to raise 11,400,000 VND and provided additional necessities such as milk, diapers, rice, and food for the children.
In addition, the Mid-Autumn season is right around the corner, so the team distributed some lucky money or “li xi” to the children, which got them excited for the upcoming holiday festivity. Despite the social distancing restrictions imposed and in compliance with the 5K covid protocols the team felt the love and happiness from the children through their smiles and joyful eyes. The team became even more emotional when the children started to perform for them by dancing to their favourite beat and singing their hearts out.
Lhorlan (El) Laurel, Monroe Vietnam’s Managing Director commented “The original goal of this programme was to ‘always give back’ but during our time at the orphanage, the team was overwelled with the feeling of receiving more than what they give. This emphasises Monroe Consulting Group’s purpose of ‘doing something that matters and making a difference in people’s lives. The team left the shelter with their heart’s full of joy and love. It’s a great start to the year and we hope to keep this energy and compassion in 2022”
