Business Development Specialist (Building Material)


Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group Indonesia is recruiting on behalf of a leading multinational company with a core focus on building materials products. As expansion continues, our client is seeking a professional with at least 8 years' experience in sales and business development in a multinational company for the job of Business Development Specialist. The job is based in Cileungsi, Bogor, Indonesia.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and target new business opportunities in the industrial sector, focusing on building materials, to expand our market presence.
  • Develop and execute strategies to engage specifiers, architects, designers, and other key decision-makers to ensure our products are included in projects.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, specifiers, and industry stakeholders, fostering long-term partnerships.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand market trends, customer needs, and competitive insights, and translate them into actionable business plans.
  • Lead presentations, product demonstrations, and negotiations to secure new business deals and partnerships.
  • Monitor industry developments and competitor activities to adjust strategies accordingly and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Develop and manage a pipeline of potential projects, track progress, and report on sales and business development activities.
  • Participate in industry events, trade shows, and conferences to network, showcase our products, and stay updated on industry trends.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, chemical engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of successful sales experience in the building materials or related industry.
  • Proven track record in business development, preferably in the industrial sector with a focus on building materials.
  • Experience in specifier engagement, with the ability to understand and meet the unique needs of architects, designers, and specifiers.
  • Strong network of contacts within the building material industry and specifier community is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills to effectively convey the value of our products and secure new partnerships.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to analyse market trends, identify opportunities, and develop targeted strategies.
  • Self-motivated and driven to exceed targets while effectively managing time and priorities.
  • Willingness to travel to industry events, client meetings, and other relevant activities as needed.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite and CRM software.
