Business Unit Head (Medical Devices)

Executive recruitment consultant Monroe Consulting Group Indonesia is recruiting on behalf of Medical Device Distributor. Our client is seeking for Business Unit Head - Medical Imaging position. This job will be based in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Job responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to drive growth and profitability in the radiology imaging business unit.
  • Set and achieve sales and revenue targets by overseeing product portfolio performance, ensuring alignment with company goals.
  • Conduct market analysis to identify new business opportunities, emerging trends, and competitor activities to adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Lead and coordinate sales and marketing activities, including campaign planning, product launches, and promotional events.
  • Develop strong relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), healthcare institutions, radiology departments, and other relevant stakeholders to promote the company's products and solutions.
  • Monitor day-to-day operations of the business unit, ensuring compliance with company policies, quality standards, and industry regulations.
  • Manage inventory, pricing, and product availability, ensuring efficient stock levels and minimizing backorders.
  • Set performance metrics, conduct regular evaluations, and provide coaching to ensure team members meet targets and professional growth.
  • Prepare and manage the budget for the business unit, overseeing cost control and profitability.
  • Conduct regular financial performance analysis, preparing and presenting reports to senior management.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, including hospitals, clinics, and diagnostic centers.
  • Resolve customer concerns and ensure high levels of satisfaction to enhance customer loyalty and brand reputation.


Job requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Medical Technology, Business, or a related field. A Master's degree or MBA is preferred.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in the medical device industry, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within radiology imaging or similar medical imaging sectors.
  • Proven track record in driving sales growth, managing budgets, and achieving revenue targets in a competitive market.
  • In-depth knowledge of radiology imaging equipment (e.g., MRI, CT, ultrasound, X-ray) and associated market dynamics.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, develop, and manage a diverse team.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills with the ability to engage with KOLs, customers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Analytical skills for strategic planning, financial management, and market analysis.
