Data Management Lead (Technology)

Executive Recruitment Firm Monroe Consulting Group Philippines is recruiting on behalf of a leading venture capital firm with a strong focus on technology investments. The company has a presence in multiple global locations, including North America and Asia.

Job Summary

Our client is seeking an experienced and dynamic Data Management Lead to build and lead a high-performing data team. This role will be responsible for developing and implementing data management strategies, overseeing data operations, ensuring data quality and security, and collaborating with stakeholders to derive valuable insights from data.

The position is based in Taguig City, Philippines, with a hybrid work arrangement (4x per week onsite).

Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership and Development

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of data engineers, data annotators, and data scientists.
  • Define roles, responsibilities, and performance expectations for team members, including KPIs.
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performance work environment.
  • Work closely with HR on talent acquisition and team development.

Data Strategy and Implementation

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive data management strategy aligned with business objectives.
  • Establish data governance policies, procedures, and standards to maintain data quality, integrity, and security.
  • Stay up to date with industry best practices and emerging trends in data management.

Data Operations

  • Oversee day-to-day data team operations, including data collection, processing, storage, and analysis.
  • Implement and maintain data infrastructure and tools to optimize team efficiency.
  • Ensure seamless and effective data workflows.

Data Quality and Security

  • Implement data quality control measures to ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
  • Enforce data security protocols to protect sensitive information.
  • Conduct regular data audits and address quality or security concerns.

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and deliver data-driven insights.
  • Effectively communicate data-related matters to stakeholders.
  • Promote a data-driven culture within the organization.


Key Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or strategic partnerships, preferably in the Asia-Pacific region.
  • Strong technical background, ideally with experience in the technology sector (telecommunications preferred).
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in English (additional regional language skills are a plus).
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively across Southeast Asia.
  • Valid passport with no travel restrictions within Asia.
