Through our smart hardware & services, we're partnering with network operators to maximize the potential of 5G. Our respected client is seeking a Finance and Accounts Officer to be based in Makati City, Philippines. This role will be directly reporting with the Finance Manager/CFO.
Key Job Responsibilities:
Purchasing & Payments:
- Process purchase orders.
- Ensure timely and accurate payments to suppliers and service providers.
- Monitor cash outflows and maintain accurate payment records.
Invoicing & Receivables:
- Prepare and issue invoices to customers in a timely manner.
- Monitor customer accounts, follow up on outstanding payments, and manage collections.
- Reconcile customer accounts and address discrepancies promptly.
Accounts Payable & Creditors:
- Manage and reconcile accounts payable, ensuring that supplier invoices are correctly processed and paid.
- Maintain accurate records of creditors and prepare reconciliations on a monthly basis.
General Ledger & Financial Records:
- Maintain the general ledger, ensuring all financial transactions are recorded accurately.
- Prepare monthly journal entries for accruals, prepayments, and any necessary adjustments.
- Reconcile all balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis, ensuring the accuracy of financial records.
Trial Balance Preparation:
- Prepare the books up to final Trial Balance on a monthly basis, ensuring all entries are accurate and properly supported.
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing procedures, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
Tax Reporting & Payments:
- Prepare and submit monthly tax returns, including VAT, withholding taxes, and other statutory submissions as required by Philippine regulations.
- Ensure timely payment of all taxes, minimising the risk of penalties and interest.
- Collaborate with external auditors and tax authorities for any queries or audits related to tax submissions.
Financial Reporting & Compliance:
- Assist with the preparation of financial reports for management, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Ensure compliance with local financial regulations and internal controls, maintaining proper documentation for audit purposes.
- Support the Finance Manager/CFO with any ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting requirements.
Cash Flow Management:
- Monitor and report on cash flow, ensuring that the company maintains adequate liquidity to meet operational needs.
- Work closely with the Finance Manager/CFO to optimize cash flow and forecast future cash requirements.
Key Job Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or finance operations.
- Strong understanding of financial accounting principles and month-end closing procedures.
- Experience with tax submissions and payments in the Philippines.
- Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with Philippine tax laws and statutory requirements.
