Job Description:
Executive search firm Monroe Consulting Philippines is recruiting on behalf of a leading and enviable FMCG company. Our respected client is seeking a skilled and licensed Electrical engineer that will fulfil the role of Maintenance Controller with at
least 2 years of relevant experience working in manufacturing industry. Our esteemed client's office is located in Taguig City, Manila.
Job Summary:
The Maintenance Controller will be responsible to improve work force productivity and work quality by anticipating and eliminating potential delays through planning and coordination of labour, parts and material, and equipment access. The position is responsible in developing the scheduled maintenance programs and processes for the plant facility to minimize impact on production. Additionally, the job titleholder will serve as the organization's full-time safety officer representing government safety requirements and ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
Key job responsibilities include:
1. Maintenance
* Acts as the principal contact and liaison person between Maintenance, Operations and other supported sub
departments, in terms of maintenance service requirements.
* Plans maintenance work orders, repairs, servicing and efficient functioning of all machinery and equipment.
* Plans maintenance works in detail: researching, estimating of material and labor, identifying tool and material
requirements.
* Works with Operations Director and Production Supervisor to meet present and future goals and informs them of
abnormal or critical situations.
* Coordinates with Supply Chain in the creation of purchase requisitions for planned works.
* Develops cost and time estimates of planned maintenance work.
* Maintains and updates accuracy of technical information on processes, plant and equipment.
* Schedules maintenance work into production plan.
* Promotes a safe work environment by cooperating and coordinating with safety agencies.
* Enforces safety policies through the conduct of inspections.
* Performs other work-related tasks that may be assigned by immediate superior from time to time.
* Supervises, monitors and support installation, commissioning, maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment.
* Outsources, coordinates, and supports third party services in- performing maintenance activities.
* Monitors and supervises the parameters of equipment that are within the acceptable limit such as Boiler,
Compressors and other utilities.
* Order and control machine spare parts and chemicals.
* Establish and maintain documentation for all equipment installation, maintenance and troubleshooting
procedure for reference purposes such as operations manual,user manual, certifications and MSDS.
* Prepare and document all maintenance and repairs performed and file records properly.
2.Occupational Health and Safety Compliance
* Advises the management, operations director, supervisors and workers on OSH and creates effective strategies
and action plans related to occupational safety and health including monitoring the implementation of these
plans.
* Enforces policies related to occupational safety and health.
* Investigates accident and report to management.
* Prepares and submits DOLE OSH Mandatory reports.
* Conducts facility safety and health inspection
* Maintains accident records system
* Provides assistance to government agencies in the conduct of health and safety inspection, accident investigation
or any other related programs.
* Leads the company's emergency response plan and team.
3.Internal Audit and Compliance:
* Participates in the Internal Audit team.
* Ensure compliance with established management systems (e.g., Good Manufacturing Practices, HACCP, HALAL,
FSSC).
* Exchange communication and information with the Purchasing, Production, QC, Planning and R&D and 3rd party
maintenance.
Job Requirements:
* At least 2 years of related work experience in a manufacturing industry.
* Must be a Licensed Electrical Engineer.
* Experienced in a Food Manufacturing firm is an advantage.
* Preferably with BOSH Training.
