As part of its expansion in the Philippines, the company is actively seeking a Operations Manager with 5 to 10 years of relevant experience, preferably in Logistics freight forwarding industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving Logistics operations in the Philippines. This is an onsite job operating Monday to Friday.
Job Summary:
The Operations Manager will oversee daily operations, ensuring efficient shipment coordination, compliance, and cost optimization. They manage teams, streamline processes, maintain customer relations, and monitor performance to enhance service quality. Their role also involves risk management and continuous improvement to ensure smooth and reliable logistics operations.
Key job responsibilities include:
- Supervise and lead the operations team in daily logistics activities, ensuring smooth pickup and delivery services.
- Verify booking details, shipment schedules, and space availability with carriers.
- Ensure all shipping documents comply with local and international regulations, customer requirements, and company policies.
- Work closely with port authorities and customs brokers to facilitate smooth shipment clearance.
- Monitor vendor performance and introduce new vendors to enhance service quality.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients and vendors to ensure seamless operations.
- Review shipping documents for accuracy to prevent delays and errors.
- Manage operational costs effectively while tracking shipments for timely delivery.
- Address and resolve any operational issues or disruptions.
- Handle any additional tasks or projects as assigned.
