Job Description:
- Manage and oversee a few critical projects, often with limited resources, focusing on high-impact initiatives that drive business growth.
- Implement agile project management methodologies to adapt to changing priorities and quick iterations.
- Work closely with founders and key stakeholders to define project objectives and align them with the startup's vision and mission.
- Facilitate open communication and gather continuous feedback to refine project scopes and outcomes.
- Efficiently allocate limited resources (both human and financial) across projects, ensuring that the team can effectively handle workloads.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to utilize diverse skills within the startup.
- Identify potential risks early on, considering the unique challenges startups face, such as market volatility and limited funding.
- Develop flexible risk mitigation strategies that can be quickly adapted as circumstances change.
- Establish simple yet effective KPIs that focus on startup-specific goals, such as user acquisition, revenue growth, or product-market fit.
- Regularly assess project outcomes and iterate based on performance data.
- Identify and implement streamlined processes that enhance productivity without overcomplicating workflows.
- Foster a culture of agility and continuous improvement, encouraging team members to suggest process enhancements.
- Mentor team members on project management practices while providing them with opportunities to take ownership of projects.
- Promote cross-training among team members to build a versatile skill set that can adapt to various roles as needed.
- Maintain concise documentation that captures essential project details, decisions, and lessons learned, ensuring accessibility for all team members.
- Provide regular updates to stakeholders on project progress without excessive bureaucracy.
- Support the startup in navigating changes quickly, whether due to market feedback or internal shifts.
- Develop a flexible change management approach that allows for rapid adjustments while keeping the team aligned.
- Engage with early customers or clients to gather insights that inform project direction and priorities.
- Actively seek customer feedback to enhance product development and service delivery.
Job Requirements:
- 8+ years of project management experience, with 3+ years in leadership roles, preferably in fast-paced or startup environments.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Project Management, or related fields; PMP or Agile certification is a plus.
- Expertise in Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and the ability to implement and adapt them in a startup setting.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills to engage with executives, clients, and cross-functional teams.
- Proven resource management skills, optimizing limited resources and fostering team collaboration.
- Risk management experience, with a proactive approach to identifying, mitigating, and resolving project issues.
- Track record in process improvement and using performance metrics (KPIs) to drive project success.
- Leadership and mentoring experience, promoting accountability, collaboration, and innovation within teams.
