Executive recruitment consultant Monroe Consulting Group Indonesia is recruiting on behalf of a Multinational FMCG Company. Our client is seeking for Regulatory Affairs Manager. This job will be based in Jakarta, Indonesia.
Job Responsibilites:
Compliance:
- Contribute to business planning while ensuring adherence to regulatory standards.
- Implement regulatory strategies, including managing product claims from development through to product launch.
- Develop and oversee strategies for ensuring regulatory compliance for local, export, and import products, including obtaining necessary government approvals.
- Review and advise on company practices, identifying necessary changes to meet current and upcoming regulatory requirements.
Regulatory Expertise:
- Maintain a deep understanding of food regulations and anticipate potential changes.
License & Permit Management:
- Manage product certification and registration processes, including BPOM, Halal, and SNI certifications.
Label & Artwork Review:
- Ensure compliance of ingredient lists.
- Conduct reviews for claim substantiation on product labels.
Engagement Responsibilities:
Internal Engagement:
- Keep the business and key stakeholders informed about new regulations and industry developments.
- Monitor evolving regulatory requirements and trends, providing updates to project teams and senior management.
- Anticipate potential regulatory challenges that could affect product categories or company policies, and develop strategies to mitigate their impact.
- Collaborate with cross-country teams to ensure regulatory compliance for both export and import products, including completing necessary applications.
External Engagement:
- Build and maintain relationships with regulatory bodies, experts, and academia.
- Represent the company in industry associations and committees.
- Advocate for the company's interests, particularly on critical regulatory topics, and influence rule-setting processes.
- Serve as the primary contact for product-related audits, inspections, and other regulatory challenges.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science or a related science field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in a similar role within the FMCG industry or related sectors.
- Proficiency in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
