Our respected client is seeking an executive with at least 5 years experience in all facets of accounting for the job of Senior Accountant. The job is based in Alabang, Muntinlupa Philippines.
Job summary:
The Senior Accountant is responsible for overseeing and managing a company's financial operations. They ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records, prepare financial statements, and analyze financial data to support strategic decision-making.
Key job responsibilities include:
Financial Reporting:
- Preparing and analyzing financial statements (income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements)
- Ensuring compliance with accounting standards (GAAP, IFRS)
- Providing financial analysis and reporting to management
Accounting Systems:
- Implementing and maintaining accounting systems and processes
- Overseeing general ledger maintenance and reconciliation
- Identifying and resolving accounting issues
Tax Compliance:
- Preparing and filing corporate and individual tax returns
- Ensuring compliance with tax regulations and laws
Audits:
- Coordinating with external auditors
- Providing necessary documentation and information for audits
- Addressing audit findings and recommendations
Financial Analysis:
- Conducting financial analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
- Preparing financial forecasts and budgets
- Providing financial advice to management
Team Management:
- Leading and mentoring junior accounting staff
- Assigning tasks and reviewing work
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
- Experience: 5-7 years of relevant accounting experience
- Certifications: CPA or equivalent certification is preferred
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software which is ODOO
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

- Attention to detail
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Can work on a night shift
