Our respected client is seeking an experienced and tech savvy professional for the job of Software Test Analyst. The job is located in Makati City, Metro Manila, Philippines but can offer a flexible or remote work setup.
Job Summary:
The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of software testing principles, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of our software products through rigorous testing and documentation.
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Analyze business requirements and technical specifications to create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
- Perform manual testing on various platforms, including Windows, iOS, and Android.
- Execute test cases (manual or automated) and analyze results.
- Report bugs and errors to development teams.
- Conduct post-release/post-implementation testing.
- Work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Review and analyze system specifications.
- Document and monitor testing outcomes and establish metrics to measure the quality of deliverables.
- Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospective meetings.
Key Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- At least 1-3 years of experience in software testing.
- Experience with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., Azure DevOps).
- Familiarity with database querying (e.g., MySQL).
- Proficiency in creating and executing test plans and test cases.
- Experience with manual exploratory testing.
- Basic knowledge of programming languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP are a plus.
- Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
- Foundation Level Certification from the International Software Testing
- Qualifications Board (ISTQB) or equivalent.
- Foundation Certificate in User Experience from the British Computer Society (desirable).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Experience in the financial sector or with digital banking systems.
- Knowledge of automated testing tools and techniques.
- Previous experience as a business analyst or in requirements elicitation.
