Tax Manager (Senior-level)

Executive recruitment firm Monroe Consulting Group Philippines is recruiting on behalf of a leading company. Our respected client is seeking for a Senior Tax Manager who will be responsible for overseeing and managing tax planning, compliance, and reporting for the company. This role has a hybrid work requirement in Cebu and will be reporting to the Senior leadership.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Will lead efforts in strategic tax planning, ensuring compliance with local tax laws, and overseeing tax audits and dispute resolutions.
  • Oversee and manage the preparation and filing of corporate income tax returns (federal, state, and local) for the organization and subsidiaries.
  • Ensure timely compliance with tax filing deadlines, including quarterly and annual tax provisions.
  • Review and analyze tax compliance and reporting processes to ensure accuracy and identify potential areas for improvement.
  • Provide proactive tax planning advice to senior management on potential tax-saving opportunities and strategies.
  • Develop tax strategies that align with the company's business objectives, ensuring tax efficiencies in operations, mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate activities.
  • Monitor and evaluate changes in tax laws and regulations that may impact the company's tax position and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Conduct in-depth research on complex tax issues and communicate findings to key stakeholders.
  • Prepare memos and presentations for senior management and executives outlining tax strategies, risks, and opportunities.
  • Manage, mentor, and develop a team of tax professionals, providing guidance on technical tax matters and personal career growth.
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performance work environment that promotes continuous learning and skill development.
  • Oversee and manage tax audits, working closely with external auditors and government agencies to resolve tax issues and disputes.
  • Work on controversy resolution and identify strategies for reducing tax risk exposure.
  • Drive process improvements in tax compliance and reporting, identifying automation opportunities and system enhancements.

Job Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of experience in Tax Compliance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, must be a CPA.
  • Advanced knowledge of corporate tax laws, regulations, and accounting principles, along with the ability to handle complex tax issues, manage a team, and work cross-functionally with other departments.
  • Significant experience in tax compliance, tax planning, and working with large organizations.
  • Must be open to work in hybrid set-up.
  • At least 2 years in leadership capacity.
