I joined Monroe Consulting Group in 2016 and it still surprises me, even shocks me, how quickly and how far my career in recruitment has come. I am grateful to have been blessed with opportunities since joining Monroe Philippines as an executive recruitment consultant after a career in the retail sector.

I first joined Monroe’s specialized Consumer Goods Division but within eight months my hard work had been recognized and I had been moved to the Health division. Based on my success I was promoted to Head of the Health Division. This is what is truly special about working in the recruitment industry for a leading company like Monroe Consulting Group – the Company recognizes talent, nurtures it and rewards achievements with career growth, irrespective of age, gender or ethnic background.

When I first joined Monroe, my experience in pure recruitment was limited but I was provided with a rigorous week-long training program and an ongoing mentorship. In addition, we have a dedicated in-house trainer and an unparalleled online education program. We are provided with office time each week to complete training material, which not only focuses on recruitment, but also about how to achieve or life goals and maintain the perfect balance between our careers and enjoying our lives. It’s important to maintain a great work-life balance.

This support has been instrumental in my success as head of the Health Division, where I place some of the most senior executives in the sector with leading national and multinational companies in the Philippines.

Don’t get me wrong, recruitment can be challenging, requiring personality traits such as adaptability, persistence, hard work, patience, optimism and focus. It has taught me to be more disciplined, responsible, to not take rejection personally and to have a more optimistic outlook – the glass in always half full.

Nowadays, I am focused on building Monroe Consulting Group Philippines’ Health Division. I am privileged to have been given the opportunity to not only further enhance my skills but also to make a positive influence on the lives of others. There is no better feeling than placing a great candidate with a great company. Recruitment has a real impact on people, their families and the wider success of the companies that employ them. I have experienced this at Monroe also. I hope more individuals who strive for career excellence and success can enjoy this also.
