Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group Malaysia's Healthcare & Logistics Division is partnered with a fast-growing multinational logistics company. As their business is expanding, we are looking for a Business Development Manager to drive growth for the company.

As the Business Development Manager, you will identify and enter new markets or geographical regions where the company can expand its business operations, negotiate favourable agreements or deals with clients, represent the company at industry events and conferences, attend meetings with potential clients and evaluate business opportunities.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Driving new business revenue for the company's warehouse solutions, with a primary focus on chemical-related clients, including those handling hazardous and non-hazardous goods.
  • Generating new business revenue from conventional goods customers seeking warehousing solutions.
  • Spearhead and coordinate responses to Requests for Information (RFI) and Requests for Quotation (RFQ) from potential clients, ensuring proposals are competitive and adjusted to clients' needs.
  • Develop comprehensive and competitive proposals that align with clients' needs and showcase the company's expertise in chemical logistics and warehousing solutions.
  • Build and manage relationships with key clients through regular visits, understanding their needs in the chemical logistics domain, and identifying new marketing opportunities to expand the company's services.
  • Conduct day-to-day administrative tasks to ensure the functionality and coordination of the department's activities, including developing presentations, reports, promotional materials, and other documentation related to chemical logistics and warehousing.

Additional Tasks:

  • Convey the key values of the company and contribute to a harmonized working culture within the organization.
  • Align with the direction and decisions of senior management.
  • Perform tasks in an ethical manner.
  • Follow and adhere to the organization's employment rules and regulations.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned, contributing to the success and efficiency of the chemical logistics and warehousing department.

Requirements:

  • 4-5 years in sales and marketing within the logistics and supply chain industry.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Management, Marketing or equivalent.
  • Able to sell warehousing solutions to customers within the logistics field.
  • Possess a general understanding on how warehouse operations work.
  • Experience working with chemical goods/conventional goods companies.
  • Strong command in both written and verbal communication in English.
  • Knowledgeable in market research techniques and database systems.
