Finance Manager (Chemical Manufacturing)

Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group Indonesia is recruiting on behalf of a leading chemical manufacturing company in Indonesia. As expansion continues, our client is seeking a professional with at least 10 years' experience in finance for the job of Finance Manager. The job is based in Jakarta Indonesia.

Key job responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily accounting operations.
  • Maintain full sets of accounts while ensuring compliance with US and local GAAPs, policies, and statutory regulations.
  • Supervise costing, inventory management, and fixed asset activities.
  • Actively participate in annual manufacturing and capital budgeting processes.
  • Ensure timely month-end closing and submission of management reports.
  • Manage monthly closing activities, ensuring the trial balance is accurately maintained and closed efficiently.
  • Prepare tax computations and handle tax-related queries or audits.
  • Collaborate with external auditors to meet statutory audit requirements.
  • Provide financial support to the operations team, overseeing costs and expenses while driving cost-saving and efficiency initiatives.
  • Contribute to finance department and cross-functional process improvement efforts.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team.
  • Handle any additional tasks as required.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or Business Management.
  • ACCA and/or CPA certification is preferred.
  • Over 10 years of relevant accounting experience, ideally in a manufacturing setting.
  • At least 4 years of experience managing full sets of accounts.
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise and lead a team effectively.
  • Familiarity with SAP/BPC systems is an advantage.
  • Strong team player with a proactive and positive attitude.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in both spoken and written English.
