Head of Human Resources

Monroe Consulting Group, an executive search firm, is hiring on behalf of a one of the first companies to create designer jeans. Our client is seeking a Head of Human Resources with an experience handling large scale companies composing of 700 - 1000 employees. This role is on-site based in San Pedro, Laguna with a work schedule from Monday to Friday.

An HR (Human Resources) Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of an organization's human resources functions, including managing employee-related processes, ensuring compliance with employment laws, and supporting the organization's strategic objectives and its employees' needs. They serve as a link between an organization's management and its employees, working to align human resources practices with organizational goals and cultivating a productive and supportive work environment.

Common responsibilities and duties of an HR Manager:

  • Recruitment and Hiring HR managers create effective hiring and recruitment processes to acquire the right talent and build a strong company. They locate talent through online sources, recruitment agencies, and physical ads. HR managers may screen resumes and cover letters to determine viable candidates, conduct interviews, and collaborate with other professionals to develop compensation and benefits packages.
  • Job Descriptions HR managers clearly outline the responsibilities, qualifications, and expectations for each role within the organization to attract suitable candidates who suit the organization's culture and requirements.
  • Onboarding and Training Programs HR managers design comprehensive onboarding programs and facilitate training and development initiatives to ensure that new hires feel welcome and supported and are equipped to transition into their new roles smoothly. They also manage training and development programs.
  • HR Policies and Procedures HR managers develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy. They create and enforce policies and procedures that comply with employment laws and regulations and promote a positive company culture that values diversity, equity, and inclusion, and employee well-being.
  • Compliance HR managers ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations, including health and safety rules.
  • Employee Relations HR managers manage employee relations and conduct conflict management and resolution. They address demands, grievances, or other issues, bridging management and employee relations.
  • Performance Management HR managers develop and manage performance management systems to track employee performance and conduct performance evaluations. They also oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance.
  • Compensation and Benefits HR managers manage employee compensation and benefits programs, including salary reviews and bonuses. They also maintain pay plans and benefits programs.
  • Employee Engagement HR managers develop and manage employee engagement initiatives to foster a positive work environment and implement employee retention programs to increase employee retention.
  • HR Metrics and Reporting HR managers' report to management and provide decision support through HR metrics.
  • Legal Compliance HR managers ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management.
