HR Director (Semiconductor / IT )

Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group Philippines is recruiting on behalf of a developer and supplier of automatic test equipment. Our respected client is seeking a seasoned Human Resource with at least ten (10) years of relevant experience working in all facets of Human Resources. Our esteemed client's office is located in Lapu-Lapu, Cebu, but the work can be done remotely.

Job Summary:

  • The HR Director - Philippines will be responsible for outstanding service and operational excellence delivering HR programs to employees in the Philippines, with a focus on efficiency, data, and technology for all Teradyne business groups and subsidiaries (LitePoint, Robotics group). This position has 5 direct reports located in Cebu and reports to the Regional HR Director - APAC.
  • This position within the Regional HR team is part of a team of global HR team of professionals, which include the Center of Excellences (COEs) - Talent Management, Global Compensation, HR Business Partners (HRBPs), and HR operations teams.
  • This is an exciting opportunity to play a role in the continuous improvement and development of the Philippines regional HR team while delivering best practices for service delivery to all Philippines employees. This position will require organizational, employee-focused experience to create robust operational processes which are aligned with all business groups.


Key job responsibilities include:

  • Adopt on of automated tools and resources to best support employees and managers.
  • Local support and rollout of new and annual HR programs and policies such as talent management, compensation, and workforce planning (in conjunction with HRBPs and COEs).
  • Strong country intimacy for handling specific issues such as: employee engagement, compliance, employee relations, employee life-cycle management and particularly in recent covid-19 pandemic to actively participate in regional Emergency Response Team with local management team to ensure company business and customer service will continue with plan and post covid-19 pandemic hybrid workforce plan.
  • Recruiting and Sourcing execution and delivery across all businesses.
  • Support for all HR related questions for employees and managers.
  • Provide regional benefit design and administration oversight.
  • Coach & support if needed to regional employee welfare committee to organize employee welfare activities.
  • Execution and ownership of transactional processes with a focus on standardization, quality, and efficiency.
  • Seamless service delivery to business, colleagues and managers through building and managing relationships with Business Leaders, COE's (Talent Management, Global Compensation, HR Operations), Strategic HR Business Partners, Payroll and Finance.
  • Coaching and developing local managers, Philippines field HR team that collaborates with internal teams and cross-functional business partners to prioritize our employees, as well as providing career pathways within the HR function.

Job Requirements:

  • Graduate of Psychology, Human Resources Management or any other related degrees.
  • Have at least 15 years of HR related experience.
  • Knowledge and experience in various HR functions.
  • Well-versed with the Philippines employment laws and labor standards.
  • Knowledge and experience in navigating HR tools and Success Factors
  • Ability to grow and develop Philippines regional HR team members.
  • Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally, build strong relationships and become a trusted partner to relevant stakeholders.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization.
  • Track record of successfully juggling multiple projects and priorities.
