Executive search firm Monroe Consulting Group Philippines is recruiting on behalf of a leading and established logistic company. Our respected client is seeking a skilled and dedicated Procurement Supervisor that will fulfil the role with at least 3 years of relevant experience working logistic industry. Our esteemed client's office is located in Pasay City, Manila.
Job Summary:
The Procurement Supervisor is responsible for managing and supervising the procurement activities for the logistics company, ensuring that all supplies, equipment, and services are acquired efficiently, cost-effectively, and in compliance with company policies. The role will also oversee procurement staff, develop procurement strategies, and monitor supplier performance to ensure timely delivery and quality standards.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and manage procurement policies and procedures .
- Monitor and report on procurement performance, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and organizational standards.
- Negotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers to secure the best prices, terms, and services.
- Source, identify, and evaluate potential new suppliers and vendors
- Prepares and issues purchase orders to vendors, expedites orders when necessary
- Develop and maintain supplier scorecards, ensuring compliance with organizational requirements.
- Monitor supplier performance to ensure quality and cost objectives are met.
- Manage and coordinate the procurement process, including ordering, receiving, and invoicing.
- Analyze market and delivery systems to develop and recommend strategies for cost reduction and efficiency improvement.
- Create and implement regional procurement strategies that are innovative, cost-effective, and incorporate the growing complexities and challenges within the industry
- Lead transformational activities to build procurement organizational capabilities and improve procurement efficiency
- Prepare daily, weekly and monthly procurement reports.
- Establishes working relationships with vendors through personal meetings and telephone contact; discusses and resolves problems regarding delayed delivery dates; returns damaged or incorrect items to vendors and processes necessary documents for credit;
- Conduct evaluation for vendors in accordance to KPI of all the project (existing and new).
- Perform any other duties that may be assigned.
Job Qualification:
- Graduate of Bachelor in Engineering (Civil, Structural or any related field).
- With at least 3 to 5 years of work experience in the same field.
- Preferably with In-depth knowledge of contracts, invoicing, negotiation terms and structural design, equipment maintenance and management.
- Outstanding wide network of business facets set up, negotiation skills, interpersonal, organizational and problem solver with a strong analytical mindset.
- Above average oral and written communication skills.
- With good work ethics, responsible, with good sense of urgency, and highly adaptable.
