Quality Assurance Leader (Advanced Electronics)

Monroe Consulting Group is recruiting on behalf of a leading electronics part manufacturer in Asia. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Quality Assurance Leader to join a global leader in the design and manufacturing of cutting-edge electronic components. This is a pivotal role where you will not only oversee QA processes but also make critical technical decisions based on sound engineering principles, ensuring the highest standards of product reliability.

As the Quality Assurance Leader, you will be responsible for leading and developing a high-performing QA team, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring that all products meet stringent quality standards. You will be a key technical decision-maker, utilizing your engineering expertise to resolve complex quality issues and drive proactive solutions.


Job Responsibilities

  • Make critical technical decisions regarding product quality, leveraging engineering logic and a deep understanding of electronic components.
  • Lead and mentor a team of QA engineers and technicians, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain robust quality management systems (QMS) aligned with industry standards.
  • Lead thorough root cause analysis investigations and implement effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and process efficiency.
  • Act as a key point of contact for customer quality inquiries and audits.
  • Manage supplier quality performance and ensure compliance with quality requirements.
  • Utilize statistical analysis and data-driven methodologies to monitor and improve product quality.
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to drive quality issue resolution

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Proven experience in a QA leadership role within the semiconductor, microchip, or electronic components industry (specifically capacitors preferred).
  • Strong understanding of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949).
  • Demonstrated ability to make technical decisions based on engineering principles.
  • Excellent problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in statistical process control (SPC), statistical analysis, and data-driven methodologies.
  • Experience with Six Sigma methodologies (Green Belt or Black Belt certification preferred).
  • Knowledge of Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), 8D problem-solving, and other quality tools.
  • Familiarity with measurement system analysis (MSA) and gauge repeatability and reproducibility (GR&R).
  • A people-oriented personality with the ability to build strong relationships and influence others.
