Regional Business Manager SEA - Mechanical Seals (based in Jakarta)
Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group Indonesia is recruiting on behalf of a leading multinational company. As expansion continues, our client is seeking a professional with at least 15-20 years' experience in mechanical seals for the job of Regional Business Manager SEA. The job is based in Jakarta, Indonesia.
Key job responsibilities include:

  • Report directly to Managing Director
  • Handle mechanical seals market in Asia
  • Provide leadership to the commercial and business development team, through addressing the commercial, technical and operational aspects of potential customer
  • As a key member of the Regional Business Head, will jointly work with the Regional for the business development and diversification to other areas of domestic industrial products in the company's quest to grow into a world class company
  • Overlooking day-to-day business process and in collaboration with the operation team to identify potential client and provide a recommendation for improvements
  • Leadership by managing a cross-functional team to meet business objectives
  • Develop solutions, strategies, and assessment of current industry impact to ensure customer satisfaction and business continuity, in line with the company's strategy
  • Managing pricing cost of service and customer requirement
  • Develop Mechanical Seals Business across the region.
  • Identify and pursue new customers to drive sales growth and meet sales targets.
  • Forecast sales and explore new sales opportunities through comprehensive market research to identify potential in new segments.
  • Maintain regular communication with customers to understand their needs and challenges.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers within customer organizations.
  • Provide tailored pre-sales technical support, offering guidance on product, upgrades and best practices to maximize value.
  • Gather detailed information to address customer inquiries accurately.
  • Collaborate with Product and Application Engineers by providing clear and precise customer inquiry data to ensure accurate quotations. Manage the proposal and quotation process, ensuring timely delivery and high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Negotiate and close sales by aligning with the company's terms and conditions.
  • Oversee ongoing order processing, manage tender processes, and handle commercial clarifications and contract terms.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering or a commercial discipline from reputable university
  • Minimum 20 years' experience in mechanical seals products
  • Knowledge of Mechanical Seal manufactures, products & Commercial aspects of the Seal Business.
  • Sound knowledge of Mechanical Seals & Flushing systems, API 682, API 610 standards.
  • Basic knowledge of Pumping systems, motors, and mechanical components.
  • Ability to quickly learn product knowledge and work independently.
  • Strong commercial/Sales drive, passion to drive Business developers & Sales team.
  • Proven track record of developing and maintaining external relationships at senior levels
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work with teams and networks and influence outcomes at many levels in an organization
  • Excellent project management skills - with ability to identify critical path issues and develop solutions to keep a program on track
  • Strong oral and written communication skills are mandatory
  • Medium to high level computer skills including spreadsheets, data bases
  • Influencing and networking skills
  • Solid leadership skills, mentoring and coaching
