Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group Malaysia's Industrial Division is recruiting on behalf of a global leader within the chemical industry. Our highly respected client is seeking a Business Analyst with at least 5 years of relevant experience. The job is based in Kuala Lumpur.

Job Summary

The ideal candidate will assist the VP of Sales by providing timely and accurate reporting and analysis of market trends. They will work closely with the VP of Sales to monitor performance and execution of plans and initiatives across the region, making necessary decisions and actions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist VP of Sales in planning regional marketing and sales strategies, and business reporting for internal and external presentations. Present information in an easy-to-understand and timely manner.
  • Collect, consolidate, and generate monthly & quarterly sales reports and data from all sales entities across Asia Pacific. Proactively analyze the information with attention to key metrics to support decision-making. Variances from forecasts must be highlighted and explained, including monitoring and analysis of price increases.
  • Drive the region's sales budget planning and forecasting process, taking the lead in preparing the annual sales budget & forecasts while balancing local, regional, and corporate requirements.
  • Monitor sales data and harmonize the group database with the Salesforce CRM system. Respond promptly to varying data analysis and requests from regional countries or corporate offices. Ensure accurate data input, providing full information regarding customers and products.
  • Manage the opportunity pipeline with sales directors, ensuring accurate and up-to-date data, monitoring sales funnel progression, and compiling top regional opportunities.
  • Perform market research and intelligence. Act as the go-to person for all market data and competitor analysis in the region. Collect, analyze, and periodically report on the regional market situation and competition.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of relevant working experience.
  • Preferably from the Chemical Manufacturing Industry.
  • Market familiarity and experience across multiple APAC countries.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively across diverse cultures.
  • Solution-driven, goal-oriented, and results-focused.
  • Strong business acumen and high integrity.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical abilities.
  • Able to work independently and within a team environment.
  • Good coordination skills for teamwork across multiple time zones and cultures.
  • High fluency in English, both oral and written. Other languages will be an added advantage.
